NEWS

Book Club # Book 4

This book is a historical novel based in Germany in World War two but also has a very satisfying dose of magical realism as Death tracks the protagonist, Leisel, as she steals books during the notorious era of Nazi book burning. This book has stayed with me since I read it close to 10 years ago. It could be time for a re-read, I think! Suitable 13+ on average.

Revision session success!

Thank you to all of those students who joined my revision sessions during half term. There were lots of thoughtful responses in a respectful environment. Great work! You are going to smash your exams next year with that attitude.

Book Club # Book 2

This is a Philip Pullman penned, evocative, Victorian mystery. It is a perfect introduction to Victorian context for those who will be studying the 19th century novel at GCSE. Go to Book Club for a growing list of book recommendations.
